LibraZiK-5 release

Dear users of LibraZiK-os,
This has been brewing for a long time, and here it is, LibraZiK-5 is officially available for everyone for amd64 (64-bit PC architecture) and i386 (32-bit PC architecture)!

Dear users of LibraZiK-os,
It had been ages since I last had time to finish the preparation for the release. Here it is, and LibraZiK-5 is ready to use! In fact, it has technically been ready for several months, but the documentation was not okay. This means you can listen to this track by Erwan that was made with LibraZiK-5 called DSP-overload.
Please note that there is no longer a "software" page as it has been merged with the "software-packages" page. The reason is that these two pages duplicated certain information, which affected the time needed to keep them up to date (as well as its French version).
I warmly thank those who have participated in creating or testing LibraZiK-5 over the past few months. Thanks to them, LibraZiK-5 is stable enough to be released now.
They are: Nicolas "sub26nico," Erwan "r1," Mathieu "houston4444," and several others present on the IRC channel. Thank you all for accompanying the release process of LibraZiK-5. Another thank you goes to Ouvaton for hosting the site and repositories of LibraZiK. Finally, thanks to the developers of all the software included in LibraZiK-5, long live the free software movement!
LibraZiK-5 is the new version of LibraZiK, now based on the Debian version named "Bookworm" 12 (the previous LibraZiK-4 was based on Debian "Bullseye" 11).
This new LibraZiK-5 is built on the same logic as its predecessor and benefits from a more recent general system and software.
Regarding audio production software, there are some new features and changes, and numerous updates since LibraZiK-4, including (non-exhaustive list): fffado, alsa, pulseaudio, firmware-misc-nonfree, a2jmidid, jackd1, jackd2, ladspa-sdk, juce, ganv, lilv, serdi, serdi, sord, sordi, sratom, suil, lv2-dev, libgig-dev, lv2file, wine32 et wine64, zita-alsa-pcmi-utils, zita-njbridge, elektroid, iconnconfig, lakai, lo10k1, lpd8editor, action-menu-audio-converter, airwindows-lv2, ardour, cadence calf-plugins, carla, din, distrho, dpf-plugins, drumkv1, padhtv1, samplv1, synthv1, drumstick-tools, easytag, fluidsynth, freewheeling, frescobaldi, giada, goattracker, guitarix, gwc, handbrake, harvid, hydrogen-patterns, jalv.select, japa, jconvolver, jkmeter, kdenlive, faust, lilypond, linux-show-player, mda-lv2, mixxx, mma, obs-studio, patchance, pitivi, pt2clone, puredata, qjackctl, qlcplus, qmidinet, qsampler, qsynth, qtractor, raysession, rev-plugins, rosegarden, schism, sf3convert, simplescreenrecorder, smplayer & smtube, sonic-visualizer, sooperlooper, soundconverter, stochas, stops, supercollider, vlc, vmpk, wolf-shaper, x42-plugins, xjadeo, yoshimi, zam-plugins, zynaddsubfx.
All librazik-* packages have been rebuilt and the kernels as well.
A new software appears, it is a controller for Focusrite Scarlett series hardware: alsa-scarlett-gui.
The "NON" software suite has also disappeared as it no longer compiles and its developer seems no longer to maintain it. It is worth noting that the Stochas software is now only available for 64-bit architecture.
For this version, you can upgrade to LibraZiK-5 from LibraZiK-4. Please follow this tutorial.
Recommandation: Finish your ongoing projects with LibraZiK-4 on LibraZiK-4, there is no rush to hurry up and upgrade to LibraZiK-4, as the Debian version it is based on is still being followed by Debian for security.
A few notes:
- Please note that not all of the documentation has been reviewed yet. If something seems strange to you, feel free to come talk to us.
- There is no ISO available for now, perhaps later if I have the time and courage.
- The LibraZiK-3 version (repositories, documentation, ISO, etc.) will be removed from the web in a few weeks.
So, let’s get started! Move those aerial molecules to make it vibrate in our ears!
As for me, I would be delighted to hear your musical productions made with LibraZiK-5!
If you find this project useful, help make it stronger by supporting it financially.
Olivier
