End of website migration

Hello LibraZiKies!

At last, LibraZiK has been migrated to a new host.

The rest is below, so enjoy your Wednesday reading!

Last year in 2024, problems with the LibraZiK's host, TuxFamily, became more and more frequent. So the people behind TuxFamily explained that for various reasons, it was advisable to migrate projects elsewhere. See this discussion at TuxFamily.

The migration work had already begun, in particular the LibraZiK software repositories, which had already been migrated in mid-January 2025.

This article informs you that the entire LibraZiK project has been migrated to a new host, Ouvaton. Ouvaton is a cooperative that works on free software.

By the way, you may note that the LibraZiK project finally has its own domain name and that the website is now available at the following address: https://librazik.tuxfamily.org/. An automatic redirect is in place.

This migration has been epic, with many adventures, dragons fought and princesses saved. So I, Olivier/trebmuh, would like to warmly thank the many people who helped in this quest, and especially Erwan (linuxmao & LibraZiK), Xavier (TuxFamily), and Mathieu and François (Ouvaton). You did a great job. Serious.

Note that I've taken the opportunity to update the various software bricks that underpin the LibraZiK site (dokuwiki, dotclear, and flyspray) so there could be a few small differences. If something seems strange, feel free to contact us.

Before I finish this blog post, I'd like to say a big thank you to the people behind TuxFamily who have hosted the LibraZiK project since it started in 2015 (10 years already!), and especially Gradator and Xavier who have welcomed me, accompanied me, helped me, helped me out, given me information, taught me, and even helped me adapt and hack the site so that I could install it at Ouvaton! Golden people.

So in the same fashion as written in the mid-January article about the migration of repositories, LibraZiK would like to applaud those people who put in their time and energy and who do so much and have done so much for free software, particularly in the French-speaking world: TuxFamily, Ouvaton, dotclear,... and many others.

Here we go again for new adventures!
